About Us

Building statewide HIV leadership led by people living with HIV.

Who We Are

Positive Change Movement is a MIPA-centered movement building statewide Community Health Worker leadership by and for people living with HIV. We believe PLHIV are not just clients, stories, or advisory voices. We are leaders, workers, trainers, decision-makers, advocates, and the people most qualified to reshape HIV systems.

What We Do

We develop PLHIV-led training, certification, and leadership pathways for Community Health Workers, peer navigators, educators, supervisors, evaluators, and policy advocates. Our model connects HIV care, U=U education, stigma reduction, prevention, retention, harm reduction, benefits navigation, rights education, and systems accountability.

MIPA at Our Core

MIPA means Meaningful Involvement of People Living with HIV/AIDS. For PCM, MIPA is not symbolic inclusion. It is a transfer of power. People living with HIV must have real authority in governance, program design, service delivery, evaluation, workforce development, funding priorities, and public accountability.

Advocacy at Our Core

Our advocacy works to replace gatekeeping with PLHIV leadership. We challenge systems that speak for people living with HIV while keeping us out of power, and we build the workforce infrastructure needed for PLHIV to lead from the center.
